IGF 1- What it is.
IGF-1 is essentially a polypeptide hormone that has almost the same properties molecularly as insulin. Insulin-like-growth-factor is an abbreviation for IGF dose. Children’s long bone growth and adults muscle growth and repair is mostly controlled by IGF-1. IGF and long R3 is a stronger version of IGF-1. By IGF-1 combining proteins in the blood stream to stop deactivation, some chemicals are altered, resulting in a half-life of 20-30 hours, not the usual 20 minutes. This is a much more effectual version than what we are used to dealing with.
